The 4th Trimester
Postpartum support for families with newborns up to pre-crawlers
The postpartum period is a transformational time for families - one in which everyone is adjusting to a new normal. During this time of transition new families can benefit from additional support.
The 4th Trimester is a weekly, drop-in postpartum group for parents with babies to meet with one another and ask questions, express concerns, and hear suggestions. We recognize the range of diversity within today's families and within parenting philosophies. All are welcome.
As group leaders we can respond to a wide variety of topics including transitions to parenthood, sleep and feeding concerns, concerns and questions about postpartum mood disorders, couple's relationship, and infant and child development. Both of us have completed the Postpartum Support International (PSI) certificate course in postpartum mood disorders.
Join Us Wednesday Mornings 10:15 - 11:45
Please join us every Wednesday at the Phinney Neighborhood Association at 6532 Phinney Avenue North. We meet in the main building on the second floor in Room 6. Free parking is available in the PNA lot off of N. 67th St. The elevator is accessible directly from the upper parking lot.
Suggested donation of $5 per meeting.
Optional ear acupressure for parents with physical complaints.
Participants are asked to maintain confidentiality.
Please do not come to class if you or your baby have any cold or flu symptoms. In regards to fever please do not attend the group until you or your baby have been fever-free for 48 hours.
We recognize that this is an opportunity to get to know other families. We encourage you to meet socially outside of group time and politely ask that side conversations be kept to a minimum during the meeting.
